St Mary at the Elms Triptych. Ipswich

For over 450 years these desecrated niches have stood empty as traces of Reformation iconoclasm. Some of the canopy tracery work survives. This modest Triptych of Mary as Stella Maris; Christ as Salvator Mundi; and St John, has been made as an evident insertion into the complex historical and material fabric of the south porch of the church.
