St Giles Matlock

Commissioned for the east wall of the nave, at St Giles’ Church, Matlock. This is a narrative from the saint’s life, re-configured as three panels in oak. Adjacent is a prayer associated with St Giles, in both English and Latin, set-out in fired enamel on both sides of a glass panel, fixed proud of the wall so as to build-up levels of cast shadow.

Oak, stainless steel, lime paste, graphite, bronze powders, glass and enamel.
