Quarterstones. Public Art project at Nansledan, Newquay

Cast bronze panel. This project is on-going, and the final number of Marker stones is yet to be determined. This is the first of the bronze panels to be cast as a sample.

Concept drawing. The granite piers stand 1.5 metres high, with the Cornish names for each Quarter of the development, worked into the stone, and the relief panels let-into the surface of the granite above.

Four finished patterns for casting. These re-configured wild flowers, naturalistic details turned into architectural patterns, when cast as bronze panels, will then be set into free-standing, lettered, granite stone markers. These markers will then function as orientation features across an extensive new housing development at Newquay.

Nine designs in all.
