A hanging rood cross in the chancel of Our Lady and St James’ Church, Worsbrough, Barnsley. The figure is carved oak, and the cross a painted Tricoya-faced box with internal tulip wood framework. The whole work suspended above the altar on steel wires from the upper purlins.

The figure exceeds the cross, as the Gospel accounts of the life and post-crucifixion events exceed the cross event.

Figure height 2.031 metres. Overall height of Rood 2.142 metres, and overall width 1.998 metres.
