World-Compounded Man
Lettering, image and material combine to give expression to an opening paragraph to Chapter 4 of Clea by Lawrence Durrell. A World-Compounded Man. Someone made afresh. A new Adam? The binary texts read:
BREATH WIND/ BONES STONES/ BLOOD WATER/ FLESH SOIL/ HAIR GRASS/ THOUGHTS CLOUDS
It feels like an appropriate expression of something to make in this particular, tough but distinctive material.
